This large chain restaurant in Baytown, Texas is located approximately 5 miles from Galveston Bay. Continuous salt-spray intrusion and other typical environmental impacts associated with the restaurant industry. Typical uncoated condenser coils would survive only 6 to 7 years before needing replacement.
The restroom, office, seafood and entrance area floors were difficult to keep clean and looked drab and dirty. Kroger wanted a floor coating that was easy to clean, that would not require constant stripping to maintain a good appearance. Also, Client wanted a high-gloss floor shine with slip resistance and better foot traction for employees and customers.
This 28-year-old porcelain floor is subject to the extremely heavy use of approximately 225,000 people per year. The facility has a dedicated tile and grout cleaning crew and equipment. To clean the floor, all the tables have to be removed from this large space. In spite of all of the effort put forth on a weekly basis, the floor still did not look clean. The Customer was looking for a solution to make the floor look better, easier to clean, and with less personnel.
The University had indoor brick pavers that had been waxed for years. The Customer could not keep the brick pavers clean and wanted to reduce the constant maintenance involved in stripping and waxing them. The customer also desired a gloss coating on the brick pavers for appearance.
The University of Louisville Hospital has indoor brick pavers in a hallway that leads to the parking garage/outside. The pavers picked up asphalt and other debris from foot traffic coming into the hallway. The hospital couldn’t keep the pavers clean and the gray grout was grossly stained beyond cleaning. The Customer wanted to improve the appearance and cleanliness of the brick pavers.
Fifth Third has many forms of signage and much of it was starting to oxidize and showed signs of bacteria growth. Their approach was to research cleaning methods only until X-RESTORE was proposed as a restoration and protective solution. The signs cleaned up easily and the application process provided the look and curb appeal that was desired.
